Nigeria: Corruption in High Places
Am I suprised by the recent developments in Nigeria i.e the clash between the first and second citizens? Not all (I had waiting for this to happen since August 2005), however, I consider it a good omen for Nigerian democracy that accountabiity issues are being discussed at such a high level - whatever the primary motive of the President (the primary instigator) is.As the Vee Pee counters the offensive from his boss and EFCC, he has shed more light into the dark sleazy alley of executive corruption. Based on what has been disclosed so far, it seems that the president may be as dirty as his deputy...maybe almost.
